The BA (Hons) Top-up Degree in Contemporary Creative Practice at Cornwall College brings together our Higher Education expertise in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, Fine Art, Ceramics, Fine Art Textiles, Photography and 3D Design, into a new and vibrant interdisciplinary course.

This course is designed for anybody wishing to further their study from a relevant level 5 art & design programme

Entry requirements

The official minimum entry requirement is 240 credits from a level 4 & 5 art & design programme, such as a successfully completed Foundation Degree or HND.
All applicants will be interviewed.

The Foundation Degree in Contemporary Creative Practice, brings together our Higher Education expertise in Graphic Design, Animation, Fine Art, Ceramics, Textiles, Photography and Furniture Design, into a new and vibrant interdisciplinary course. The course aims to provide an invigorating blend of traditional, contemporary and innovative approaches to learning, and is unique to Cornwall and the South West.  What is a foundation degree? Foundation degrees are designed with employers and combine work-related and academic elements. This makes sure that the skills and knowledge that you gain during the course are relevant to your future employment.

Entry requirements

120 UCAS points from AS and A-Levels (at least 80 points must be at A2-level) or relevant level 3 qualification i.e. BTEC National Diploma/BTEC Extended Diploma - PPP Grades required. Access to HE Diplomas - 45 credits at level 3, or an equivalent art or design based qualification. Plus GCSEs at grade C or above in English language and mathematics: alternatives at Level 2 may be considered.
You are expected to attend an interview where possible and should bring a portfolio of your work: trial pieces and evidence of idea generation are more important at this stage than finished pieces. If you are unable to attend personally then sending your portfolio and additional written material by email is acceptable.
Mature applicants with relevant experience but without the stated qualifications will be considered individually and are encouraged to apply.
